Uniq Image 2nd National Salon 2020
Shutterbug Art Society organizes Uniq Image 2nd National Salon 2020 in a completely digital format. This national-level photography contest is approved by FIP (FIP/165/2020) and powered by Pixel Clash, a Photography Salon Software. The salon comprises of five sections namely Monochrome Open, Colour Open, Nature, Photo Travel, and Photo Journalism. In each section, there are 1 FIP Gold, 5 FIP SM, and 5 SAS Gold awards. There are 8 SAS CM (PDF) awards separately for Monochrome, Colour, and Nature sections. 8 SAS Diploma (PDF) awards are there separately for Photo-Travel and Photo-Journalism sections. There are two special awards 1 SAS Gold for the Best Indian Entrant and 1 Trophy for the Best Club. The salon closes its entries on 15 October 2020 followed by its judging on 18 October 2020. The notification is done on 26 October 2020. The exhibition of photos is going to take place in December 2020. Awards and PDF catalog will be distributed on 2 December 2020.
Uniq Image 2nd National Salon 2020 features renowned judges from all across India. The judges in the charge of all sections are Mr. KRISHNA BHAT, EFIAP/b, EFIP EPSA cMOL Hon.PESGSPC, Hon.APF, Hon.GMGNG, Ms.HUSNA KHOT EFIAP, EFIP,EPSA ,Hon GPA PESGSPC, Hon. CPE, Hon. FPMP, Hon. PIPC, Hon.FGNG, and Mr.SUBHO SAHA AFIAP, AFIP, PPSA, GPU VIP-1, GPU CROWN-2, HIUP, cMoL, RISF1, AAPG, Hon.CPE, Hon.FGNG. UTPAl ADHIKARY GPA.PESGSPC, Hon.PESGSPC is in charge of Salon Chairman.
The salon was open to photographers across India; each photographer could send four images in each section counting a total no of 20 images adding all sections. The salon follows all rules of FIP strictly regarding the management, judgment, and awards. The four images of a single entrant are distributed among the four rounds of judging. An entrant is entitled to get only a single award or honourable mention in each section. The entry fee for the four sections is Rs 400 and for all five sections, it is Rs 450. According to the Salon Chairman Utpal Adhikary GPA.PESGSPC, Hon.PESGSPC, Shutterbug Art Society reserves the right to reproduce select entries in the catalogue, press and project publicity. The decision of the judges in all sections is to be treated final. An entrant, whose image has been accepted, is entitled to get a star rating from FIP. The awardees will get their awards via registered post.
Result
In the Open Monochrome section, BARUN SINHA’s image SHABNAM received the FIP GOLD award. The five SAS Gold awarded images are KAMATH SANDEEP KAMATH’s WATCHMAN, SUDIP ROY’s PRICELESS CHILDHOOD, DURGARAO UPPADA ‘s A1-MORNING DUTY, DIPANKAR JANA’s ELEGANCE 2, and DEBAJYOTI SARKAR’s CRADEL. In the Open Colour section, SANTANU’s image WAR OF WORLDS has been awarded the FIP GOLD medal. The five SAS Gold awarded images in this section are MD BIJULAL’s ALONG WITH BULL, KARNE SRIHARI’s MOTHERS LOVE LIPY DAS’s FLUID RAMESH SA’s ROWING ADAYAR, and BARUN SINHA’s SN NO 03. ARPAN UZIR’s image RED FOX won FIP Gold award in the Nature section. The SAS Gold award-winning images in this section are APRATIM PAL’s MOVING SOULS SAS GOLD, AMBAR NATH SAHA’s GOLDEN ROCKS, HARISH NN’s WHISPERING OXPECKER, SUDHIR GAIKWAD’s IN THE JAWS OF DEATH SAS GOLD, and SANTANU MAJUMDER’s DECAPITATION.
SAMIR SARKAR’s MACHUPICCHU INCA CIVILISATION won the FIP Gold Award in the Photo Travel section. The following images won the SAS Gold Award in this section: ASHOK KUMAR’s JATRA CAR FESTIVAL, UMASHANKAR BN’s BULL RACE KAMBALA KRISHNAN KV’s BIRDS EYEVIEW OF DUBAI, RAMANATHAN THENAPPAN’s THE WINNER, and AMBAR NATH SAHA’s EVENING AT SHORE. APRATIM PAUL’s image EFFORT won the FIP Gold Award in Photo Journalism section. The SAS Gold awarded images in this section are TIWARI AJAY’s ALL LOST, BINOY BIKASH GOGOI’s THE SAVIOURS, SATISH MURAL’s STRUGGLING FOR WATER, BIJOY KUMAR JAIN’s 004- UNFORTUNATE, and UMASHANKAR BN’s HALADI FESTIVEL.
The SAS Gold Award for the BEST INDIAN ENTRANT has been received by C.R. SATHYANARAYANA and a TROPHY for the BEST CLUB AWARD has been handed over to YOUTH PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY, BENGALURU. Click on the following button for the complete list of awards and acceptances:
