1st IIG National Circuit 2020

1st IIG National Circuit 2020 was organised by the Indian International Group (IIG), in association with AvTvISO, GreenGo Club, and Mlwa Photo Foundation. This circuit is approved by the Federation of Indian Photography (2020/FIP/138-139-140/2020) and powered by Pixel Clash, A Photography Salon Software. The entries were open for anyone from India. The entries were closed on 8th September 2020. Judgment was done via the live judging system of Pixel Clash on 12/13 September and the result has been published on 23 September 2020. The exhibition is likely to take place on 10/11 October 2020. Publication of the catalogue and the disbursement of the award will take place on 13 October 2020. The circuit comprises five sections: Open Monochrome, Open Colour, Nature, Photo Travel, and Theme: Child. There are a total number of 225 awards in this circuit that includes 15 FIP Gold Medal, 60 IIG EiP Medal, 75 FIP Ribbon, 45 Jury Choice Medal, 15 Merit Medal, and 15 Chairman Choice Medal. Apart from this, there are three Best Club Trophies for the participating clubs.

The circuit has three panels of judgment. In the panel of AvTvISO (2020/FIP/138/2020) the judgement was done by Anurag Badolia, AFIAP, Jinesh Prasad, AFIP, and Ratnajit Choudhury, EFIAP. For GreenGo Club (2020/FIP/139/2020), Kalyan Chattopadhyay, AFIAP, Sayan Sarkar, EFIAP, and Udayan Sankar Pal, EFIAP featured the judgement panel. Himadri Bhuyan, AFIAP, Sadiqur Rahman, AFIAP, Shilpi DasGupta, AFIAP featured the judgment panel of Malwa Photo Foundation (2020/FIP/140/2020). Narendu Ghosh acted as the Circuit Chairman and participated in the judgment for Chairman’s Choice awards in all the panels. Pixel Clash is proud to provide technical and online salon management support in the 1st IIG National Circuit 2020.

I have used this software while judging Saints in Need salon in July 2020. Its one of the most user friendly software, I have used in Indian salons. As the Saints in Need is a charitable salon , Sri Raju Sutradhar provided entire software support free of cost. My heart felt thanks to him and his team for this benevolent work. It is my first judging experience with Pixel Clash software and off course the experience is awesome. It is fast and enriched with features which are mostly required by a jury member. Uploading, payment updates and judging are completely hassel free. No problem reported so far. After completing the marking juror can see the thumbnails with given marks which is a much required feature in my opinion. Mr. Sutradhar is very courteous and always ready to extend the support regarding software. I highly recommend Pixel Clash software for salon/circuit management.( Disclaimer: I am in no way related to Pixel Clash or with Mr. Raju Sutradhar neither I have any interest with it. )

The software used for Online judging in Saints in Need 2020 by Pixel Clash was an excellent one. It was so smooth and fast, without any problem. The second round was even more enjoyable with a particular facility called 'Review marks with thumbnail' through which it was possible to review the images in the order of scores given by me, and also providing a scope of modification at that stage. The overall judging experience using this software was highly enjoyable.
