6th Focus International Salon 2021
Focus Photography Club of Kolkata organised the 6th Focus International Salon 2021 digitally in May-June 2021. The photography event has been recognised by the Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique (FIAP/2021/227), the Federation of Indian Photography (2021/010/FIP/2021), and the Global Photographic Union (L210087). The photography event has been manned, managed, and hosted by Pixel Clash, a Photography Salon Software.
6th Focus International Salon 2021 is based on four sections: Monochrome Open, Colour Open, Nature, and Photo Travel. The jury members featuring the judging panel are Suman Saha EFIAP/g, FFIP, Subrata Kumar Das EFIAP, FFIP, and Sandipan Kar EFIAP, EFIP Gold Nature. The submission of entries for the participants closed on 30 May 2021. Judging of all the sections was done on 6 June 2021. The result was declared on the website on 16 June 2021. The catalogue will be published and the awards will be sent to the recipients on 25 August 2021.
The award list of each section of the 6th Focus International Salon includes 1 FIAP Gold Medal, 1 FIP Gold Medal, 1 Focus Gold Medal, 1 Focus Silver Medal, 1 Focus Bronze Medal, 2 FIAP Ribbons, 1 GPU Ribbon, 5 FIP Ribbons, 3 Merit Medals, and 1 Chairman Choice Award. The participants in this international photography event are from several countries like India, England, Hong Kong, Germany, Croatia, Montenegro, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Vietnam, Serbia, Poland, Taiwan, Ireland, France, Bangladesh, South Africa, USA, Australia, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Spain, Oman, Bahrain, Russia, Italy, Sri Lanka, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, Dominican Republic, Malta, Indonesia, Wales, Slovenia, Romania, Czech Republic, Chile, Japan, Canada, Turkey, Sweden, Brazil, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Singapore, Estonia, etc.
Award List
Mr. Ajar Setiadi (Indonesia) has received the most prestigious Overall Best Entrant Award (FIAP Badge) in the 6th Focus International Salon 2021. Mr. Ajit Huilgol has been chosen as the Best Indian Entrant. The Best Club Award of the event has gone to PLAAPA.
In the Open Monochrome section, the FIAP Gold medal is awarded to David Keel’s (England) photograph MAMI SATO JUMPS INTO THE LEAD. Karel Goeman’s (Belgium) JUMP has received the Focus Gold medal. Barbara Jenkin’s (England) BRIGHT DREAMS wins the Focus Gold medal. The Focus Silver and the Focus Bronze medals winning photographs in this section are Dino Gravano’s (Italy) LITTLE GIRL and Alexandre Loncke’s (Belgium) PAYSAGE CHAMPETRE respectively.
In the Open Colour section, Shih Yang Chung (Taiwan) has received the FIAP Gold medal for the photograph DUCK FARMER. David Lowe (England) has won the FIP Gold medal for the photograph VEILED DANCE. Richard Mccleery (England) has received the Focus Gold medal for the photograph FLEETING ENCOUNTERS. Barry Wong (Hong Kong) has received GPU Gold medal for RED AND WHITE 1. The Focus Silver and Focus Bronze medal recipients in this section are David Keel (England) and Subrata Bysack (India) for their photographs YAMAMOTO LEADS ON THE FINAL BEND and RED HUT IN KASTE respectively.
In the Nature section, Francois Van Der Watt (South Africa)’s photograph LEOPARD WITH CATCH has received the prestigious FIAP Gold medal. Ajit Huilgol (India) has secured the FIP Gold medal for the photograph CHEETAH TUG OF WAR. This section’s Focus Gold goes to Jie Fischer (India) for the photograph LION HUNTING 7. Giovanni Frescura (Italy) wins the Focus Silver medal for the photograph ATTENTION and Chung Shih Yang (Taiwan) has secured the Focus Bronze medal for the photograph FAMILY.
In the Photo Travel section, Veniero Rubboli (Italy) has received the FIP Gold medal for the photograph PASSING TRAIN. Samir Mohte’s (India) photograph MAULI CHI PALKHI has secured FIP Gold in this section. Hirak Bhattacharjee’s (India) WINTERLAND WONDER has received the Focus Gold medal. Ajit Huilgol (India) has won the Focus Silver medal for the photograph GUARD OF HONOUR. Peter Balantic (Slovenia) has secured the Focus Bronze medal in this section for the photograph AUTUMN MORNING.
