APJ 1st International Salon 2020 (Digital)
In the memory of great Indian scientist and former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam, APJ 1st International Salon (Digital) welcomed passionate photographers across the world in their first virtual photography salon. The exhibition conformed to the rules of Photographic Society of America (PSA) and it was approved by the PSA. The photography exhibition accepted entries in nine sections which are all approved by the PSA. The sections are: COLOR OPEN (Colour) – PSA PIDC; PORTRAIT (Colour / Monochrome) – PSA PIDC; OPEN MONOCHROME ( Monochrome ) – PSA PIDM; WOMEN( Monochrome ) – PSA PIDM; TRAVEL (Colour / Monochrome) – PSA PTD; EVENT AND FESTIVAL (Colour / Monochrome) – PSA PTD; STREET (Colour / Monochrome) – PSA PJD; PEOPLE (Colour / Monochrome) – PSA PJD; NATURE (Colour / Monochrome) – PSA ND. Each entrant had the option to submit a maximum four number of images in one section. The acceptance rate was targeted to be 35% of total entries. The entry of the competition closed on 5 July 2020, followed by the judgment on 19 July 2020 and notification on 26 July 2020. Online catalogue of the exhibition will be published on 31 July 2020 and the exhibition will be opened for public on 6th September 2020. Awards will be sent to the recipients from 12 September 2020 onwards. A total number of 173 high-quality awards will be given to the winners. The award list includes 1 PSA Gold Medal, 1 APJ Gold Medal, 1 APJ Silver Medal, 1 APJ Bronze Medal, 10 APJ certificate of merits, 5 APJ chairman’s choice. Otherwise, there are two grand prizes; one for the best author and another for the best club. Awards and Acceptances
The acceptance and award list featured amateur and professional photographers from several countries like Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, France, England, Germany, Hong Kong, India, South Africa, USA, China, Macau, Taiwan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Portugal, Thailand, Sweden, Singapore, Vietnam, New Zealand, Kuwait, Serbia, etc. Apart from the individual prize in each and every section, there were two special awards, one for the best author and another for the best club.
