Light and Shade 2nd International Salon 2020
Light and Shade 2nd International Salon 2020 is organized in a completely digital format by Omniq Art Foundation, Kolkata, India. The salon is approved by photography organizations like FIP (2020/FIP/118/2020), FIAP (2020/473), ICS (2020-132), GPU (L200156), ISF (38/20), and MOL (2020/58). This national-level photography contest has been powered by Pixel Clash, a Photography Salon Software. The salon has four sections namely MONOCHROME OPEN, COLOUR OPEN, NATURE, and PHOTO-TRAVEL. The salon closes its entries on 10 November 2020 and the judgment follows on 15 November 2020. The notification over the web is done on 24 November 2020. The FIAP EDAS will be prepared on 30 November 2020. The exhibition is scheduled for 6-7 February 2021. Awards and Catalogues will be despatched to the participants from 7 February 2021 onwards.
Light and Shade 2nd International Salon 2020 has a total of 170 number of awards. There are 4 FIP Gold Awards in all the four sections. There are 3 GPU Gold and 3 ISF Gold Awards in Monochrome, Colour, and Nature sections. 2 ICS Gold Awards are there in Photo Travel section. Apart from the regular awards, there is 1 FIP Badge for the best author of the salon. 1 Mol Badge and 1 GPU HM are there for the best Indian author. 1 Mol Diploma and 1 GPU HM are there for the best female author. There is a TROPHY as the Best Club Award. The jury panel of this salon features Mr. MALAY BASU EFIAP, FFIP,HON.PESGSPC GPA.PESGSPC dip-in-photo, Mr. GOUTAM SEN EFIAP/B, FFIP, and Mr. TAMAL GOSWAMI EFIAP/B, FFIP, Dip,in Photography(PAD).
Result
In the Open Monochrome section, PETER GENNARD from England received FIAP GOLD for his image DESPERATE TIMES. RAKTIM BANDYOPADHYAY from India received GPU GOLD for the image CONTEMPLATION and JOAQUIN SALINAS D`ANGLADA from Spain received ISF GOLD for the image PILAR in the same section. In the Open Colour section, RAYMOND BRIDGES from England have received FIAP GOLD for the image THE ART AND DREAM OF DANCE. PETER GENNARD from England received GPU GOLD for the image OUTSIDE THE WORKHOUSE and ANDRII YURLOV from Slovakia received ISF GOLD for the image POLAR BEAR IN PRAGUE_1 in the same section. In Nature section, SHERMAN CHEANG from Macau received FIAP GOLD for the image KEEP WARM. DUNCAN S K HILL from England received GPU GOLD for the image BLUE FOX
TZE MAN LAU from Hong Kong received ISF GOLD for the image SNOW MONKEY. In the Photo Travel section, DUNCAN S K HILL from England received FIAP GOLD for the image DASSENACH MOTHER AND CHILD. MEHMET GOKYIGIT from Cyprus received ICS GOLD for the image BLUE CITY. CLAUDE SIMON from Belgium received ICS GOLD SELEN AFTER WAKING UP.
Apart from sectional awards, there have been a few special awards in this salon. DANIEL LYBAERT received FIAP BADGE as the Best Author of the Salon. Moushumi Chakraborty received MOL DIPLOMA + 1 GPU HM for her selection as the Best Female Author. YOUTH PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY (YPS) of BENGALURU received the BEST CLUB TROPHY. The acceptance list includes images from so many photographs from enthusiastic photographers across the world. In the Open Monochrome section, the rate of os acceptance is 22.88%. The list of the Open Colour section got 22.92% image accepted. The Nature section has recorded 22.04% acceptance. In the Photo Travel section, 22. 27% of images were accepted. The Salon used Pixel Clash software for managing the entries, online live judging system, scorecard generation, online notification of result and acceptances and other works related to this photography salon.
