Midnapore Circuit 2020

Midnapore Circuit 2020 has been an artistic shared platform for photographers from across the globe. This international circuit is approved by the Photographic Society of America (PSA 2020 – 389) and approved by Pixel Clash, A Photography Salon Software. This circuit closes its entry for the photographers on 29 September 2020. The judgment of all the panels is done on 15 October 2020 followed by the result notification on 28 October 2020. EDAS submission is scheduled for 10 November 2020 and awards and catalogue distribution is on 25 December 2020. The circuit has PSA approved four sections: Open color (PIDC), Open Monochrome (PIDM), Nature (ND), and Photo Travel (PTD). A total number of 168 awards are to be distributed among the winners. Among the awards, there are 24 PSA Gold Medals, 24 Circuit Gold Medals, 24 Circuit Silver Medals, 24 Circuit Bronze Medals, and 72 CIP HM Ribbons.

The panel of the judgment of Midnapore Circuit 2020 features the maestros of photography from different countries. In Salon 1, the judges are Viki Gaul (Canada) APSA,PPSA, Susan Cowles (USA) FPSA,GMPSA,AFIAP, and John Livoti (USA) APSA,PPSA. In Salon 2, the judgment panel feature Subrata Bysack (INDIA) GMPSA/P, James D Smith (USA) MPSA, and Larry Cowles (USA) GMPSA/P,EFIAP/P. In Salon 3, the judges are Kwok Kei Daniel TSE (Hong Kong) GMUPHK , GMPSA , EFIAP/s, LIN Wolfgang (Hong Kong) GMUPHK , MPSA2 , EFIAP/b, and PANG Man Chung Patrick (Hong Kong) AUPHK , MPSA , EFIAP. In Salon 4, the judges are Jenni Horsnell (Australia) GMPSA/S, EFIAP, Elizabeth Passuello (New Zealand) EPSA,EFIAP, and Joseph Tam (Australia) GMPSA, SPSA, EFIAP/d2. In Salon 5, the judging panel features Gunther Riehle (Germany) GMPSA/p, Norbert Heil (Germany) APSA, MPSA, EFIAP/b, and Jerry Louis Ruff (Germany) PPSA,AFIAP. In the sixth salon, the judges are Ovi D Pop (Romania) EFIAP/s, GPU CR4, Bekir Yesiltas (Turkey) EFIAP,EPSA, and Mandru Cantemir Aron (Romania) EFIAP, GPU CROWN 3.

Midnapore Circuit 2020 received an overwhelming response from photographers from different countries across the globe. A total number of 174 photographers’ entries are recorded on 4 October 2020. The entries came from countries and regions like India, USA, England, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Canada, China, Scotland, South Africa, Argentina, Myanmar, Belgium, Vietnam, France, Northern Ireland, Israel, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Spain, Malta, Norway, Iran, Taiwan, Turkey, Morocco, Wales, Italy, Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, Germany, Indonesia, Cyprus, South Korea, Switzerland, and Denmark.

I have used this software while judging Saints in Need salon in July 2020. Its one of the most user friendly software, I have used in Indian salons. This software has flexbility of thumbnails with marks, provision of ranking, changing marks is smooth and with memory stored, a very well thought of algorithm, which surely helps a judge to do full justice and gives enough freedom. As the Saints in Need is a charitable salon , Sri Raju Sutradhar provided entire software support free of cost. My heart felt thanks to him and his team for this benevolent work. It is my first judging experience with Pixel Clash software and off course the experience is awesome. It is fast and enriched with features which are mostly required by a jury member. Uploading, payment updates and judging are completely hassel free. No problem reported so far. After completing the marking juror can see the thumbnails with given marks which is a much required feature in my opinion. Mr. Sutradhar is very courteous and always ready to extend the support regarding software. I highly recommend Pixel Clash software for salon/circuit management.( Disclaimer: I am in no way related to Pixel Clash or with Mr. Raju Sutradhar neither I have any interest with it. )

The software used for Online judging in Saints in Need 2020 by Pixel Clash was an excellent one. It was so smooth and fast, without any problem. The second round was even more enjoyable with a particular facility called 'Review marks with thumbnail' through which it was possible to review the images in the order of scores given by me, and also providing a scope of modification at that stage. The overall judging experience using this software was highly enjoyable.
