Virtuoso International Digital Circuit 2022
Virtuoso International Digital Circuit 2022 explored and celebrated the legacy of hundreds of photography artists from across the world in their recent photography contest cum exhibition. This international level photography circuit was organised digitally by the South Asian Photography Society (Kolkata) in association with GPS [Thakurpukur], FSH [Habra], CPC [Behala], and PCC [Sonarpur]. This PSA recognised circuit (recognition no: 2022-146) was based on 5 judging and 5 sections, which are Open Monochrome (PIDM), Open Colour (PIDC), Nature (ND), Photo Travel (PTD), and Photo Journalism (PJD). The circuit is manned and managed by Pixel Clash, a Photography Salon Software.
Virtuoso International Digital Circuit 2022 closed the submission of entries for the entrants on 25th February 2022 followed by the judging of all sections and salons between 11th to 17th March 2022. Notification of awards and acceptances was sent to the participants via website and emails on 4th April 2022. Awards will be mailed and an online gallery of awarded photographs will be posted on 9th May 2022. Print exhibition will take place from 9th to 11th May 2022 at Venu Avishar Art Gallery (4 PM – 7 PM).
Judges in Virtuoso Circuit
A group of photography experts featured the judging panels in Virtuoso International Digital Circuit 2022. In Judging 1 (SAPS), the judges were Chinmoy Dutta MPSA, EFIAP/b, EIUP, AICS, FFIP, Hon PESGSPC, Swapan Mukherjee EFIAP, Hon. MFIP(Nature), FFIP, Kalyan Bhattacharya EFIAP, QPSA, FFIP, and Debdas Bhunia EFIAP. In Judging 2 (GPS) the judges were Subrata Bysack GMPSA/P, EFIAP/P, GAIUP, GPU CR5, FFIP, SEPSS, Soham Sarkar EFIAP, EPSA, FFIP, Sudip Roy Chowdhury EFIAP, Hon. FICS, FFIP, GPA.PESGSPC, and Udayan Sankar Paul EFIAP, PPSA, HonAvTvISO. In Judging 3 (FSH), Sharmali Das GMPSA, EFIAP/gold, GPU Crown 3, GPA PESGSPC, Hon. PESGSPC, FFIP, Amitabha Sil EFIAP, ARPS, EPSA, HON.FPSBP, HON.FICS, HON.FCOS, HON.PESGSPC, HON.FIP, HON.ECCC, HON.FSo, Pinku Dey EFIAP/b,MFIP, Hon FICS, Hon PESGSPC, ESoF, Hon FTPAS, and Gargi De EFIAP, FFIP featured in the judging panel.
In judging 4 (CPC) Piyali Mitra GMPSA, EFIAP/S, EFIP/G, Prabir Kumar Roy EFIAP, ARPS, FFIP, Chhanda Paul EFIAP, AFIP, and Pabitra Sen Sarma EFIAP/b, EFIP were there in the panel. Judging 5 (PCC) was done by Basudeb Chakraborty MPSA, EFIAP, FFIP, EFIP Gold (Nature), Parthi Sarathi Sarkar EFIAP, Basudev Aich EFIAP, and Aniket Paul EFIAP.
Awards
In each section of every judging of Virtuoso Circuit 2022. there are 8 awards: 1 PSA Gold, 1 VA Gold, 1 VA Silver, 1 VA Bronze, 2 VA Merit Awards, and 2 VA Chairman Choice Awards. Otherwise, there is 1 Overall Best Entrant and 1 Best Indian Entrant award.
PSA Gold awarded photographs in the Open Monochrome section in different judging are: BROKEN EVERYWHERE (Ajar Setiadi, Indonesia), READY FOR THE HUNT (Glenys Steegh, New Zealand), TRANQUILITY-1 (Partha Sarathi Sarkar, India), and RED CARPET (Ching Ching Chan, Hong Kong). In the Open Colour section, the PSA Gold winning photographs in different judgings are MY BOY NO3 (Jan – Thomas Stake, Sweden), THE KISS ( Milagros Goni, Brazil), LECTURE (Francoise Morio, France), and SOFT AND PASSIONATE (Ching Ching Chan, Hong Kong). the PSA Gold Medals winners in the Nature section are CHEETA FAMILY (Barun Sinha, India), ELEPHANT SEALS BABY BEDS 0990 (Charles Stricker, USA), TOO FAST TO CATCH (Piyali Mitra, India), THE LONG PREY (Ajar Setiadi, Indonesia), and DO NOT STEAL MY FOOD (Hai Ngo, USA).
Photo Travel section’s PSA Gold Medals mining photographs in the different judging are NANPU BRIDGE 20 (Zhicai Ren, China) and GOLDEN TEMPLE (Henry Jang, USA). In the Photo Journalism section of different judging, PSA Gold is won by TRIUNFO (Hector Rabinovich, Argentina), SUMO (Hector Rabinovich, Argentina), PHUKET VEGETARIAN FESTIVAL (Diana Chan, Hong Kong), RIKSHAW CART IN A FLOODED STREET (Barun Sinha, India), and FIREMAN (Sebastian Kuczynski, Poland). Ching Ching Chan (Hong Kong) received the Overall Best Entrant award and Barun Sinha (India) received the Best Indian Entrant award.
